Kellie LaPlegua wearing AMF Korsets in Garden (PICS)

This image I shot of the beautiful, responsible yet fun-loving Kellie LaPlegua is the first in a two-parter on her and Louis Fleischauer for Marquis. You all may recall that I posted an, err, dog-fucking photo from the latter half of this shoot a while ago. Given that Marquis was fine with me posting some of the stuff of Crash from last ish, I'm assuming it is cool to share these with the world now. Hopefully this is the case. This will be like the 31st issue I think of Marquis which features Forrest Black's and my Big in America column. Whole series in Blue Blood VIP and on the new Erotic Fandom (which I should really make a post about here too.)

Richard Avery – the Juliland Interview (PICS)

Richard Avery – the Juliland Interview

by Amelia G : May 5th, 2010

juliland zoli photographed by richard averyYou’ve probably seen some of Richard Avery’s shots for Juliland in the Blue Blood Contributors Pages because of his recent work with Blue Blood beauties such as Aiden Starr, Darenzia, Lexi Belle, and Justine Joli. Juliland also features Aria Giovanni, Dana DeArmond, Roxy DeVille, Emily Marilyn, Ariel X, and Dita Von Teese, so you know we’ve got some taste in common, The site he does with Juli Ashton also features dozens more incredible women. Blue Blood in print published a teensy bit of Richard Avery’s work some time back, but we actually met in person for the first time through Lange. In this interview, Richard Avery and I chat photography, creativity, and hot women. We’ve got a little free Juliland photo gallery to give you a taste. Enjoy.

Amelia G: It is pretty common for the music world to utilize both color and black and white photography, but I think it is relatively uncommon for erotica. I have this theory that all the erotic sites which utilize both are music culture influenced. From a creative standpoint, what do you like about color versus black and white?

Richard Avery: Wow! That’s a tough one. I have many thoughts and opinions on photography today, digital, color, b&w and the future. I’ll give you some of the basics… No matter what you do or use, there has to be a vision behind it. As an artist it doesn’t matter what you do or who you do. You just have to show that you know what you want and are very clear. Quality is most important. b&w or color, it just needs to be good. Today most photographers rely on photoshop tricks and forget about the subject. Tricks are for kids!!! A great photo is one . . .

You better BELIEVE I am not filling out the census form

You better BELIEVE I am not filling out the census form

by Amelia G : May 4th, 2010

us census form believe 2010 privacy concernsI am registered to vote and I have a drivers license, but I have not received a census form in the mail. Instead, a man buzzed my security system yesterday, gave me his name, said he was from the census, and asked to enter my home. I hung up. So he buzzed again repeatedly. Eventually, he figured out some other way of getting into my security building and started banging on my door for an extended time period. I had to wait for him to go away, so I could go buy an organic onion to complete a recipe I was cooking. From the help wanted signs posted around Los Angeles, I believe the government is paying $17 an hour to have unwelcome strangers knock on my door. I think a 44 cent stamp would be a way more economically responsible way to get me to not fill out the census form. And don’t even get me started on how, if we can file taxes electronically, it ought to be feasible, cheaper, and more effective to use an online system to count everyone.

Why don’t I give my data to the census? The first time I was ever asked to fill out a census form was when I was living in a townhouse with 13 punk rockers. I was afraid . . .

Why is nobody but Arizona addressing the illegal alien and werewolf problems?

Why is nobody but Arizona addressing the illegal alien and werewolf problems?

by Amelia G : April 30th, 2010

gia paloma easter bunny julie simonePolitico reports that yesterday the Arizona state legislature has passed a bill making it a felony to “intentionally or knowingly creating a human-animal hybrid.” Well, phew, because I was definitely afraid, with all the military contractors out there, that, instead of working on lucrative mining and fiberoptics, mad scientists were diligently slaving away trying to create commercially useless human-animal hybrids. Aside from Annette Edwards, who might want to marry a human-rabbit hybrid, is there really a market for such things?

I realize Arizona has recently passed legislation making it legal to do live reenactments of World War II movies (Show me yahr paperrrrsssssssss!) and they have taken an important stand against the creation of werewolves. Plus Arizona doesn’t practice daylight savings time (which is inconvenient for people phoning from other states, but otherwise awesome). And Arizona not only doesn’t recognize so-called gay marriage, but passed a state constitutional amendment banning it, just to be safe (which is unbelievably evil and I don’t get why we don’t just call it marriage and not “gay marriage”). Arizona also has some gun laws paying tribute to its Wild West heritage (which I kinda like, but totally understand why reasonable people would dislike.)

So I get it. Arizona is maverick. Arizona marches to the beat of its own tom-tom. (Maybe some of those Native American museums in Arizona should also start asking for some details about . . .
